I live in Felino, a small village close to Parma (famous worldwide for cheese and ham). I am an hydraulic engineer, professor at Parma University where I teach Hydrology and Hydraulic Protection. I am married with Maria Giovanna and I have one son, Francesco, which shares with me the passion for wildlife photography (www.francescomignosa.com). Photography, and especially wildlife photography, is only my hobby, not my job. So I have only few time to take pictures. Once a year, mainly during summer holidays (July-August), I organize a travel in a region where there is an interesting wildlife (South and East Africa, Alaska, Kamchatka, Svalbard, etc.). In Italy my preferred places are the Gran Paradiso National Park (Aosta valley, northern Italy) and Sardinia (for flowers and landscape).
